It’s that time of the year again. Accelerate Michigan is back for 2014, and entrepreneurs had better get their applications in this week.

Founders of tech based companies can enter to win up to $1 Million in cash and prize awards from this annual competition. We’ve seen quite a few good companies come out on top the past few years including last year’s Varsity News Network which won and went on to raise $3 Million for their company. Check out some of the other runner ups from Accelerate Michigan 2013.

This competition is ideal for you if you are a technology company that is a tad bit beyond prototype phase. We encourage you to check it out as applications are due by the end of the day Wednesday, July 23rd.

If your company is invited to participate, you’ll have to make a pitch during the three day event November 4th-6th at the Westin Book Cadillac in Downtown Detroit.

Since the competition began about four years ago, previous finalists and semi-finalists  have raised more than $59 million in funding and created more than 600 jobs, according to a press release distributed earlier this month.

Get your application in, and make sure you save the date for the competition as it’s a great event connecting startups and investors across the region.
