Pitch “N” Pontiac Awards $15K Next Week

Next Wednesday, CEED Lending, an initiative of The Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, will be hosting Pontiac’s first live pitch competition on Wednesday, August 31st , 5:00 – 8:00PM, at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center,  47 Williams St., Pontiac, MI 48341.

Five Pontiac businesses will be pitching, presenting their businesses for the opportunity to win $15,000 and business services. For more than 30 years, CEED Lending has provided more than $6 Million in small business loans, counseling and coaching and is excited to offer the funding opportunity for these businesses.

“Pitch “N” Pontiac is a great event for the city of Pontiac.  Providing business services to the contest winners will go a long way in helping them build a successful business, which in turn, aids the economic development in the area,” said Lysa Davis, Talmer Bank CRA Officer and Sponsor.

The local businesses pitching are below:

Vanessa Coleman, Pontiac Community Hospice (PCH), support services

James Forbes and April Forbes (H&W), Menagerie Kitchen, pop up restaurant/incubator kitchen

Carrie Hauser, Sprout Fresh Food Store, healthy food store

Evan Monaghan and Ashleigh Altemann, Plain and Fancy Food, food services company

Tanesha Taylor, Quest, Cheer, and Dance, dance and gymnastics studio
