Meet Coolhouse Labs First Graduating ClassBy Amanda Lewan on August 27th, 2013 /
Coolhouse Labs, one of Michigan’s newest incubators, has officially announced their first graduating class of startups.
Coolhouse Labs launched at the beginning of the summer. The incubator program is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Harbor Springs. Each startup received $25,000 in seed funding, one-on-one mentorship, and the opportunity to pitch for funding at their demo day last Friday.
The program is not only located on a nice cozy spot in Michigan, it also gives each startup access to developers, designers, and staff to help launch the company. This is something that not all incubators provide, though they should. Having access to quality talent can be vital to getting your company started.
Congrats to the following 5 startups in Coolhouse Lab’s first incubator program:
TRNK NYC – TRNK NYC is the content-meets-commerce destination designed to help men create inspired and character filled homes.
It’s great to see more media startups, as well as one helping connect customers to local talent and food. Michigan has an abundant supply of fresh food and foodies. It’s exciting to see a tech startup dedicated to fresh food in Michigan.
