Free Lunch Friday Detroit, a local chapter of the non-profit organization providing community, content and connections to entrepreneurs, returns Friday, September 27th for a free lunchtime event in downtown Detroit.
The event features Sam White, Founder/Artistic Director for Shakespeare in Detroit, a new theater company dedicated to using The Bard to improve the quality of life in the city. The theater company staged the first free outside performance of “Othello” at Grand Circus Park last month. The performance by an all-local cast was a huge success and received a standing ovation from over 400 people who attended.
“Shakespeare, an entrepreneur himself, is a great tool for connecting communities and inspiring generations,” says White.
The vision of Free Lunch Friday is to create a global community of hungry startups and entrepreneurs working together to build incredible companies that drive our economies forward, provide jobs, and change the world.
Free Lunch Friday Detroit, which launched in January 2013, holds events the last Friday of the month with free food, beer, and an inspiring talk. The opportunity to make connections, an open floor discussion, and more are offered to Detroit-area startups and entrepreneurs with the goal to inspire, educate, and empower.
