November 20, 2015 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
TechTown Detroit is partnering with the Motown Museum / Hitsville U.S.A. to host an interactive panel discussion featuring Paul Riser Sr. (a veteran Motown musician, arranger and Grammy-award winning producer), Mike Grace, Ed Wolfrum and James Jameson Jr. – four esteemed contributors who helped create “the Motown Sound”.
This event, set for 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20, is the launch of a new educational lecture series for Motown Museum members, connecting “Motown Sound” trailblazers with today’s and tomorrow’s talented local artists and musical enthusiasts.
There is NO CHARGE for guests to attend this event, but future participation in the 3–part series will require Motown Museum membership. Guests on November 20th will be encouraged, but certainly not required, to purchase a Motown Museum membership ($30 for a full year) to help support the “I AM MOTOWN” membership campaign. This membership drive has been created to help preserve the history and legacy of Motown Records Corporation through the conservation of Motown’s original site on W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit, Michigan. Become a member on November 20th and get acquainted (or reacquainted) with the magical story of the “Motown Sound”…walk in the footsteps of iconic artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, little Michael Jackson, Martha and the Vandellas, Diana Ross & the Supremes, the Temptations, Smokey Robinson, the Four Tops and more. BE A STAR for the day in Studio A!
You may register above for November 20th event OR you can reserve your seat for this special evening by calling Tonette Bryant-Carter at 313-875-2264.
