March GRIN Meeting Thinking Outside the Box

March 13 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Our first guest speaker in March is West Michigan resident, Daniel Fisher, who will give us a unique perspective on applications of creativity and persistence.

By day, Dan does engineering and new business development. He has set up and provided leadership for several engineering and manufacturing teams and operations in the US and Asia. He has a track record of creative and innovative solutions to difficult problems. Whether it be setting up new business relationships in China, inventing new products (20+ patents), developing manufacturing plants designed for zero PPM, or developing advanced program management systems. Dan approaches business and engineering like artwork.

By night, Dan composes music. It’s been a hobby and passion of his for many years. Some of his recent music compositions were played and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and with other great musicians. He often spends time composing on the airplane during his international business travels. (He’s been to China 111 time, Japan 46 times, and many other places.)

Learn how as an engineer, Dan’s music composition skills have evolved along with developments in music technology. And about the process of creating and producing a song with the intention of it being commercialized. For example, for a music CD, movie soundtrack or theater production. And listen to some really great music. This is one presentation you will not want to miss!

We have one other exciting featured guest that you won’t want to miss so stay tuned as more information is to come!!
