Ethical Leadership with Jeni Britton Bauer, James Beard award winning Autho

October 14, 2015 @ 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

At FoodLab, we believe our members are at the forefront of making a difference in their communities – from health and wellness programming to green business practices to adopting sustainable business models focused on “smart growth”. They know that making a difference can provide more than just a “feel good” experience, a commitment to values can help improve the reputation of your business, increase employee loyalty and even boost productivity.

But when a crisis strikes your food business, and it most likely will, will you be able to respond in a way that is true to your values and protects your bottom line? Values are more than statements in a team meeting. They have to be woven into the words and actions of your business!

When listeria forced Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams to recall 265 tons of ice cream, the team remained true to their values and used the crisis as a opportunity to rebuild itself and make improvements. Falling back on the close relationships with regional and national dairy and produce growers as well as relying on a motivated, tightly knit staff, Jeni’s team emerged from the recall while staying true to the values of the Jeni’s Splendid brand.

Join us as we hear how Jeni saved her brand and what she learned about leading through crisis. Purchase your ticket here. (Extremely limited $5.00 early bird tickets are available).

**Jeni’s talk will be followed by a special ice cream social featuring toppings prepared by FoodLab members.
