Cost Estimating Basics + Pricing

This two-part series will teach participants how costs will affect the price of their products and services, what factors must be considered when estimating costs for developing prices, and best practices for cost estimating.
February 3rd- Session One
What is Cost Estimating? Activity Based Cost (ABC) estimating, such as the difference between variable and fixed costs, how to calculate wage rates, hourly equipment rates, overhead rates, equipment capacity, and the differences between estimating and accounting.
February 10th- Session Two
The second session will be for the participants to take what the learned in session one about how to put the knowledge into practice. Participants will be walked through a few basic cost models. Laptops are required for this session.
