Community Engagement Brainstorm & Workshop with Lauren Hood

We will learn how to engage a community in a meaningful way!

Lauren Hood is the Acting Director of Liv6 and Co-Founder of Deep Dive Detroit. Formerly, Lauren worked in community engagement and programming with Loveland Technologies, the City of Highland Park, and the Center for Progressive Leadership. Lauren will lead a workshop on community engagement best practices, methods, tools, and resources, with a focus on Detroit.

Native Newcomer will pitch their initiative to grow collaboration between the native and newcomer communities for the betterment Detroit. Learn more on their Indiegogo crowdfunding page and in Michipeneur. You will take part in contributing to the formation of the Native Newcomer program during a brainstorm session facilitated by Ben Seidman and Desmond “Kid Clever” Lester.
