Entrepreneurs: Win Cash to Make Your City Successful

By Amanda Lewan on October 16th, 2014 / Comments

The Knight Foundation has launched a call for ideas, and we think entrepreneurs in Michigan are fit to apply.

The national foundation poses the question: How can we make our cities more sucessful? And they’re gaging ideas based on these three areas:

  • Talent, attracting the best and brightest to your city.
  • Opportunity, expand economic prospects and break down divides.
  • Engagement, spur connection and civic involvement.

According to the application website for the Knight Cities Challenge, they are really looking for civic innovators. Many entrepreneurs are likely already contributing to these three factors. Do you run a co-working space? Have a business providing important technology and jobs? A new way for others to engage online? How can your innovation help your city?

Take a shot and apply before the Deadline Ends on November 14th. The challenge is offering grants from a pool of $5 Milion for the most innovative projects. To apply all you have to do is write out your idea in a short 150 words.

Good luck and get your application in soon.
