Entre-Angels Delivers Holiday Gifts for Entrepreneurs

We all know it can be a tough journey to choose to the life of an entrepreneur. In between those first sales and funding rounds, entrepreneurs can often struggle financially.

Entre-SLAM, the storytelling organization in Ann Arbor and Detroit, has launched Entre-Angels to help entrepreneurs during the holiday season. Christa Chambers, Entre-SLAM Co-founder, said the idea to give back came from an Entre-SLAM recent winner.

The entrepreneur who won their storytelling contest had used the cash prize to purchase food for their home.

“With entrepreneurs it’s usually a temporary situation, but there’s no place to talk about it,” said Christa. “We need to remind entrepreneurs that they are not alone in their struggle. We are here to help out.”

The Entre-Angel program allows you to nominate an entrepreneur and give a donation in the form of food, cash, or a gift card. The first wave of gifts will be distributed at the next Entre-SLAM event November 21st at Club Blue in Detroit.

The program will continue to take donations through December 12th, allowing gifts to be picked up at D:hive in Detroit. The storytelling competition will take a break in December and start back up in both Ann Arbor and Detroit for the new year.

It’s great to see this storytelling event expand into storytelling workshops and programs that encourage community building in our state.

Want to give back? Fill out the form now.  Haven’t been to an event yet? Stay tuned for their next one.
