Energy Startups Compete at Detroit Venture Forum

Nine energy startups are flying in this week to compete for $125,000 at the Nexus of Energy & Transportation in Upcoming Detroit Venture Forum.

The event hosted by Village Capital and Blackstone Charitable Foundation aims to support and reward top startups solving problems in energy. Before the startups pitch,  Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation and Chairman of National Geographic Society to Headline Event along with Ross Baird, CEO of Village Capital will speak on diversity in entrepreneurship and investment to unleash social change.

The Detroit-based forum is the culmination of Village Capital’s Energy: US 2016 program and will feature pitches from the nine startups following their participation in the three-month investment development program.The two companies ranked highest by at the end of the program in this unique peer-selection process will secure the investment.
