Celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with the Pistons

It’s almost that time of year, where entrepreneurs all around the world network and celebrate together.

There’s often not much planned in our Metro Detroit area, so it’s great to see this upcoming event being held at the Palace of Auburn Hills in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015. The event aims to bring together entrepreneurs from the region to network, participate in fun breakout sessions, and watch a great basketball game.

“Detroit has emerged as a city for Entrepreneurs and we wanted to collaborate with the entrepreneurial eco-system to take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week,” said Michael Melfi of Treps Nest, and organizer of this year’s celebration. “This event is a collaboration between multiple groups throughout the community focused breakout sessions to create educational conversations and is being hosted by an entrepreneurial organization with a very inspirational owner.”

Melfi says he’s working together to unite many entrepreneurial groups, and choosing to host the event in Auburn Hills to hopefully bring together entrepreneurs in Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Metro Detroit to one venue. The event will be a pre-game networking event with breakout sessions at The Palace of Auburn Hills. After the networking and breakout sessions, we will enjoy the Pistons game.

Some of the breakout sessions include discussing entrepreneur culture, being a successful entrepreneur, lean startup methodology, and funding. Tickets will come with light food and beverages along with admission to the game.  Check out more on this year’s celebration here.
