Calling all entrepreneurs. If you’re an early stage company preparing for an accelerator or getting ready to raise money, then this might be a great opportunity for you.

Startup Next is a free, five week mentoring program created by Techstars aiming to help companies prepare for entering an accelerator program. Each session is three hours long and includes speakers, pitch coaching, and mentoring sessions crafted for your industry. Even though the program is by Techstars, it is not exclusively for those thinking of applying for a Techstars program. Those who go through the program end up in top accelerators around the country.

What have been the program results to date? Startup Next says they have helped more than 50 startups get into top accelerators and entrepreneurs have raised more than $40 million dollars in funding. Some of these are the nation’s top places to get into, including Techstars Boulder/Seattle/Austin/London, 500 Startups, Imagine K12, AlphaLab, R/GA Accelerator, Boomstartup, ERA, Barclays Accelerator

“Whenever a group of experienced entrepreneurs and investors come together great things are bound to happen,” said Kyle Bazzy, Startup Next lead. “Bringing Startup Next to Detroit has attracted a great group of mentors looking to help 5-7 early stage companies raise money or get into an accelerator program.”

This is the first free program of it’s kind held in Detroit. All of the sessions will be head in Downtown Detroit at the Techstars Mobility space inside of Ford Field.

The program launches in Detroit January 19th, 2016, but applications are due January 10th. It sounds like a great opportunity to mentor, polish and get ready for your next step. Apply here.
