Build Business Plan Classes are Open

Ready to launch your idea into a business? Those first few steps to getting started can sometimes be the hardest. In Detroit, the BUILD Institute offers a great way to start your business.

BUILD is an eight week project and small business planning program. The non-profit business incubator has graduated hundreds of small businesses in the region, who often go on to launch their retail or lifestyle company. There are four classes offered this spring all with the aim of helping an entrepreneur learn the essentials of starting a business from licensing, financial literacy, market research to cash flow.

Upcoming classes:

  • Build Basics 46: Tuesdays from 6-9pm. Class meets weekly from Tuesday, April 5th through Tuesday, May 24th. Held at Coffee and (___) – 14409 East Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI 48215.
  • Build Basics 47: Thursdays from 6-9pm. Class meets weekly from Thursday, April 7th through Thursday, May 26th. Held at Good Cakes and Bakes – 19363 Livernois Avenue, Detroit, MI 48221.
  • Build Basics 48: Saturdays from 10am-3pm. Class is held on April 9th, April 23rd, May 7th, & May 14th. Held at Build Institute – 2701 Bagley Avenue, Detroit, MI 48216.

There is a small cost ranging from $200 – $500, including a $50 deposit to reserve a seat. Learn more about BUILD and apply now before these classes fill up!
