The Detroit accelerator Bizdom announced yesterday that entrepreneurs now have the opportunity to receive up to $125,000 in seed funding, an increase from the initial offering of up to $25,000.

Bizdom has helped launch Michigan startups including Chalkfly, Savorfull, and Guidesmob.

Head Recruiter Maria LaLonde said they were seeing startups struggling to reach their second round of funding, and wanted to provide more traction for growth.

The accelerator has two locations in Detroit and Cleveland and accepts 18 companies per year, taking an 8% stake in the company. It is one of Dan Gilbert’s family of companies. Learn more about Bizdom’s program.
