In Detroit, we have a great community of tech leaders and innovators.

They are often willing to speak, share, and guide you to the right resources you’ll need to help create your business.

Whether you’re into social media, programming, web design, or work with startups, you won’t want to miss these Detroit tech networking events.

Detroit Lean Startup Circle

A place for high-tech entrepreneurs to learn from other entrepreneurs, Detroit Lean Startup Circle is held monthly at the Compuware building downtown. This meetup specifically encourages local entrepreneurs to learn more about how to apply the lean startup method to their business model. The lean startup method values developing a minimal viable product, measuring customer response, and pivoting the model in order to tailor the product to customer wants and needs.

Startup Drinks Detroit

A meetup calling for all  “Founders, Freelancers, Students, and Moonlighters!” Startup Drinks Detroit is a monthly meetup of tech, social media, and other professionals working with the web. Grab a drink at some of the best local bars and meet other Detroiters in your field. Previous startup drinks were held at the Detroit Yacht Club and Midtown’s Great Lakes Coffee.

Mobile Monday Detroit

Mobile Monday Detroit is a monthly meetup focused on helping companies stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies. Learn about how different fields are applying mobile technologies to their industry at the Compuware building each month.

Detroit Networking Events: IT Industry

Whether you’re going to their casual networking social or their pink slip party, this is a great way to meet other IT professionals in the Detroit area.

Bizdom Events

Often featuring tech industry leaders like Josh Linkner, Bizdom hosts networking events specifically focused on tech and local Detroit startups. Many of these events are located in Dan Gilbert’s recently refurbished Madison Building, a beautiful building with a rooftop bar overlooking Tiger Stadium and Ford Field. You have to check it out.

D-New Tech

Get inspired. Get engaged. This meetup encourages entrepreneurs and highlights startups in the Metro Detroit area. They share information, advice, and offer opportunities to practice pitching your business to others in the industry. A great place to meet other people working on startups and also those who assist startups directly.
